Job SummaryThis position is responsible for leading activities associated with administration and management of pharmacy programs including but not limited to assisting in the development, implementation, maintenance and promotion of a disease state formulary system; utilization management programs; specialty pharmacy management; medication therapy management, client relationships and support; and development of innovative clinical programs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered Pharmacist in the States of operation (NM, IL, TX, MT).
  • 3 years of management and/or leadership experience (with Direct Reports).
  • 5 years of experience in Pharmacy practice.
  • Experience using window-based word processing, spreadsheet and relational database software.
  • Drug information skills.
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of practice guidelines or practice parameters; pharmacoeconomics; quality improvement processes and techniques.
  • Knowledge of medication uses evaluation principles.
  • Ability to remain at a workstation and perform computer entry for long periods of time, as required.
  • Leadership skills (with Direct Reports) and ability to handle multiple priorities and manage communications professionally to achieve issue resolution with customers, employees, or management.


PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Additional certifications and residency experience.
  • Managed care and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience.
  • MTM experience, specialty pharmacy, or government programs knowledge.
