SUMMARY
Manages all third-party vendor activity and associated business; this includes identifying and building partnerships with vendors whose offerings, service level, and performance best fit Subaru's business strategy as well as the implementation and execution of Field- and retailer-facing promotion and incentive programs. Maintains responsibility for driving parts sales business growth in collaboration with these vendors to aid in our goals of revenue growth as well as customer retention and satisfaction.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Identifies, establishes, and nurtures partnerships with third-party parts vendors and suppliers. Ensures their alignment with Subaru's business strategy, commitment to quality and performance, and dedication to meeting the retailers' and our business' ever-changing needs. Acts as the decision maker for continued vendor relationships as well as the inception of new ones. Serves as the main stakeholder and decision maker for all things drop ship related.
  • Marketing Optimization and Initiative Management:
    • Researches, develops, and oversees marketing, promotion, and incentive initiatives for both Subaru Field staff and those that are retailer-facing. Works with Fixed Operations Marketing team to ensure that information and opportunity are being communicated correctly and effectively.
  • Process Enhancement:
    • Works closely with the Parts Pricing department as market trends shift and has final approval rights for all pricing changes. Ensures that these moves are strategic and mutually beneficial for both Subaru and its retailer network.
  • Business-Centric Inclusivity:
    • Initiates and fosters tactical interdepartmental partnerships with Supply Chain, Accessories, Warranty, Service, Export, etc. Determines and implements strategy to produce better results, together. Assists parties responsible for part procurement in the addition of new individual parts and larger parts segments to the overall Subaru offering. Continues intradepartmental collaboration in the interest of optimized revenue growth.
  • Collaborative Endeavors:
    • Maintains a productive relationship with the Regional and Zone Field staff. Disseminates important information to the Field staff and ensures that it will be communicated and acted on or initiated properly and promptly.
  • Parts Sales Analysts:
    • Maintains responsibility for managing and leading the Parts Sales department data analysts. Provides clear expectations in regard to timeliness, level of work quality, and overall output. Sets and monitors the achievement of goals and objectives for personal and business-focused growth.
  • Parts Sales Internship Program:
    • Manages Parts Sales intern training and performs progress and activity reviews. Fosters a mutually beneficial environment where both team and intern thrive. Aligns the intern's learning objectives with the team and company goals and cultivates a positive internship experience.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans
    and prepares for vendor partner Quarterly Business Review meetings, Regional and Zone Field-level meetings, the National Training Conference (NTC), the National Business Conference (NBC), and the Aftersales Business Conference (ABC).
  • Contributes to executive meetings by delegating and managing the development of necessary presentation decks and relevant data reporting.
  • Manages other miscellaneous third-party business, projects, and reporting as requested.

REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and prioritize projects as needed.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key business partners, such as vendors.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with all levels of employees within the organization, including negotiation of contracts with vendors and distributors.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to be a team player and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to optimize budgetary spending to provide maximum impact on business goals.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree with 6-8 years of relevant experience required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Office Location: Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)
  • Hybrid Role: Hybrid Role - Remote work 2 days per week (after 90 days) [Wednesdays & Fridays]
  • Required Travel: Up to 20% Domestic

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $98,000 - $130,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: M1)
