Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (flexible) 

Duration: Summer 2026 (flexible)

Compensation: $20–$25/hour

Freestone Property Group is a vertically integrated real estate investment and management firm focused on multifamily properties throughout New York City. Our portfolio consists primarily of small to mid-sized residential buildings across Brooklyn. We take a hands-on approach to operations, leasing, and asset management, with a strong focus on execution and performance.

About the Role

Freestone Property Group is seeking a motivated Property Management Intern to support a portfolio-wide access control initiative. This is a hands-on, field-based role responsible for visiting properties across our portfolio to audit, verify, and standardize front-door lockbox access. You'll work independently in the field while reporting findings into our property management system, playing a direct role in improving security and operational consistency across every building we manage. 
 
This internship is ideal for someone detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and interested in gaining real operational experience in property management. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Travel to assigned properties throughout the portfolio and conduct on-site lockbox audits 
  • Document and remove non-functioning lockboxes per program protocol, including photos and detailed notes 
  • Install and test retractable key hardware to enable secure, controlled access 
  • Take before/after photos at each site to document conditions and changes made 
  • Accurately log all findings, statuses, and updates in the property management system after every visit 
  • Maintain a professional, respectful presence at properties and communicate courteously with residents, vendors, and building staff encountered in the field 

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Must be able to read reports and use computer, phone and other general office equipment.
