The Opportunity: Work term of 4 month starting September 2026
Join the Optical Networks DevOps team and contribute to the evolution of continuous integration, development tools, and workflow solutions that support Optical Networks product releases. This role provides the opportunity to work in an Agile environment focused on automation, data-driven practices, and the delivery of solutions that improve quality, stability, and speed across a large software development organization. Collaboration occurs with DevOps, software development, and infrastructure teams.
How you will make an impact:
  • Improve and evolve DevOps continuous integration, tools, and workflow solutions for Optical Networks product releases.
  • Collaborate with a small Agile team to manage, implement, and deploy enhancements to DevOps solutions.
  • Leverage development and automation tools to improve designer workflows.
  • Integrate code changes that contribute to product quality and stability improvements.
  • Apply automation practices to deliver robust solutions.
  • Utilize data-driven approaches to enhance service delivery speed.
  • Collaborate with tools and infrastructure teams to support DevOps initiatives.
The must haves:
  • Education: Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or foreign equivalent,
  • Travel to Ottawa Campus (In Office)
Nice to haves:
  • Experience in a software development role, preferably in the area of Tools development and Continuous Integration environments
  • Excellent inter-personal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Git development environment / workflow
  • Experience with Python, Jenkins, Google Repo and Gerrit are an asset
  • Experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, REST, SQL & NoSQL DB's, Docker
  • Experience with Automation and Test are an asset
Pay Range:
Pay hourly pay for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
