GovRAMP is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Summer Marketing & Sales Intern to play a key role in preparing for our flagship Fall Cyber Summit.

  • This hands-on role offers direct exposure to event marketing, stakeholder coordination, and CRM operations within a fast-paced, mission-driven organization focused on cybersecurity and government compliance.
  • GovRAMP contracts with RAMPQuest-part of the Knowledge Services family-to serve as the NIST Program Management Office (PMO) and carry out program operations for GovRAMP provider members.
  • As organizations move forward in the GovRAMP ecosystem, particularly when pursuing a GovRAMP security status, they will interact with both GovRAMP and RAMPQuest teams.

Responsibilities

About GovRAMP

  • GovRAMP is dedicated to helping organizations meet standardized security requirements for cloud service providers working with state and local governments. Our mission is to simplify cybersecurity compliance while fostering collaboration between the public and private sectors.
  • The intern will take ownership of speaker coordination, managing the full lifecycle from onboarding through event readiness. This includes working cross-functionally with internal teams and communicating directly with external speakers to ensure a seamless, high-quality experience.
  • In addition, this role supports marketing operations through CRM data management and content creation, providing a well-rounded foundation in both marketing execution and sales enablement.
  • This position is ideal for a proactive self-starter who is highly organized, communicates effectively, and is eager to gain real-world experience in event marketing, stakeholder management, and B2G (business-to-government) engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate speakers for the GovRAMP Fall Cyber Summit (primary responsibility)
  • Manage the speaker lifecycle from onboarding through pre-event readiness, ensuring a high-quality experience
  • Communicate with speakers regarding scheduling, session details, prep calls, and logistics
  • Draft and manage speaker communications, including outreach, confirmations, and reminder emails
  • Track and collect speaker deliverables (bios, headshots, presentations, session descriptions) and ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintain and update speaker trackers, timelines, and documentation
  • Assist in organizing session details and supporting development of the event agenda
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, membership, leadership) to align speaker communications and event details
  • Support CRM data management and cleanup (HubSpot, MemberClicks)
  • Assist with list segmentation and data accuracy for marketing campaigns
  • Contribute to social media content creation and scheduling
  • Help document and improve speaker management processes and workflows for scalability
  • Provide general marketing and administrative support as needed
Qualifications
