The Program Manager oversees multiple concurrent programs. Reporting directly to the Department Head, this role demands hands-on leadership to ensure seamless program execution and team performance. As the Program Manager you will have oversight and be responsible for coordinating and managing the overall assigned programs (24/7 residential and non 24/7 sites) in relation to individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD). This position is a mixture of both direct care and supervisory duties. The Program Manager oversees Team Leaders and DSP staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation
- Provide 24/7 on-call support to staff, coordinate coverage, and cover shifts as needed including weekends and holidays, as required.
- Coordinate team activities and program operations across multiple programs
- Oversee cross-functional program initiatives to meet goals and deadlines
- Report program status and progress to department leadership
- Monitor all aspects of the program including but not limited to developing individual goals and plans, implementing the program.
- Ensure services are delivered according to each individual's Person-Centered Plan (PCP) and Individual Support Plan (ISP)
- Oversee incident reporting, investigations, corrective action plans, and follow-up
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Ensure transparency and accountability with all financial activities
- Develop and implement operational goals that align with the organization's mission and strategic plan
- Prepare for state surveys, audits, and accreditation reviews
- Monitor health, safety, and risk management practices for all individuals served
- Support Team Leads and DSPs through coaching and mentorship
- Work closely with clients’ family members, case managers, physicians, and the clinical management team
- Ensure that direct care staff are adequately trained, including ongoing staff in-service and client-specific training
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in program management
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong skills in program and performance management
- Experience with scheduling, staff supervision, and conflict resolution
- Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Must be flexible
