Astrolab is The Lunar Operations Company. We design and build the systems and hardware the lunar economy will come to depend on - rovers, power, and data networks for sustained operations on the Moon. We are focused on the problems that must be solved before the next chapter of human exploration can scale. The Moon does not forgive untested assumptions. The Internship Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Astrolab's internship program. This role partners closely with Recruiting, Engineering, Operations, and business leaders to attract, hire, onboard, and support interns across technical and business functions. The Intern Program Manager will create a positive intern experience while ensuring consistent recruiting processes, university engagement, program coordination, and compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations. This position will report to the Manager of Technical Recruiting.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and manage Astrolab's internship program from planning through program completion
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify internship needs and coordinate recruiting activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, student organizations, and other early career talent sources
  • Coordinate intern recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding activities
  • Plan and facilitate intern orientation, training, networking events, and final presentations
  • Track program metrics and recommend improvements to recruiting strategies and the overall intern experience
  • Maintain internship documentation and ensure OFCCP compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations
  • Collaborate with Recruiting, People Operations, and business leaders to support a positive and consistent intern experience

What you'll bring:
Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating internship programs, university recruiting, talent acquisition, program management, or related experience
  • Experience building or scaling internship or early career programs
  • Experience partnering with universities, student organizations, and faculty to build talent pipelines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting engineering, aerospace, or other technical organizations
  • Experience managing intern conversion programs and measuring hiring outcomes.
  • Familiarity with OFCCP, EEO, and employment law as it relates to university recruiting.
