Job Responsibilities:

Salary Range: $60,000-$85,000

  • Support daily Fast Response meetings
  • Ensure that the company conforms to all customer requirements related to part quality.
  • Ensure that appropriate corrective action is in place where non-conforming part issue arise in house or at customer locations.
  • Continually review and upgrade policies, standards and procedures for the division.
  • Provide clear direction and leadership in the attainment and maintenance of the business system standards.
  • Provide support for production requirements, overtime requirements, toolroom, R&D, new programs and
  • program improvements.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the quarantine/containment areas to ensure a steady turnaround of material
  • including timely disposition.
  • Work with the Quality Manager to ensure prompt attention to all customer concerns.
  • Develop a Techform culture, which recognizes the role of customers as an integral part of the business,
  • deserving of respect and high quality service.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures;
  • Ensure that safety & quality standards are communicated and enforced within the department.
  • Ensure that training requirements for each departmental employee are identified and plans are in place to
  • close any gaps.
  • Initiate, where required, employee counseling and disciplinary action;
  • Perform a minimum of one yearly performance evaluation for each departmental employee;
  • Maintain housekeeping standards within the department;
  • Ensure the fair administration of all company policies including wage and benefit packages;
  • Maintain communication and utilize the expertise of other departments including engineering, tool room,
  • quality control, accounting, human resources and IT;
  • Ensure the efficient execution of responsibilities as outlined in the job descriptions for each position within the department

  • Comply with defined Business Management and Environmental Management Systems requirements.

Qualifications

  • A post secondary education in an engineering or related field is preferred and/or certified quality background;
  • Superior organizational skills are required;
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills are required;
  • A thorough knowledge of generally accepted quality control procedures is required;
  • Prefer a minimum of five years of progressive experience in a quality/quality engineering role
