Sound Physicians is seeking a Medical Director to join their team at Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, South Carolina. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership, focusing on patient-centered care and performance improvement within a supportive environment. The Medical Director will have autonomy to lead and access to resources for professional growth, making a significant impact on patients and their families daily.

Practice Info

  • Strong, collaborative team includes 11 physicians, 6 advanced practice providers, a clinical performance nurse, and a practice manager.
  • Team works with Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Transitional Year residents.
  • Partner with local Sound Physicians Emergency Medicine and Critical Care teams for coordinated patient-centered care and smooth transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active clinical role caring for hospitalized patients.
  • Collaborate with hospital executives, physician leaders, and service line partners to advance organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Lead and support the day-to-day operations of the hospital medicine program.
  • Drive efforts focused on quality improvement, patient experience, operational excellence, and physician engagement.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture among physicians, APPs, and interdisciplinary team members.
