Position Summary
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers a portfolio of MBA programs, including Full-Time MBA, Evening Executive MBA, Weekend Executive MBA, Charlotte Executive MBA, and Online MBA.
The Program Manager serves as a key member of the Working Professional MBA team, supporting academic operations, student engagement, and program delivery for over 300 students across the Working Professional MBA portfolio. This position is responsible for coordinating academic and operational processes for the Evening, Weekend, and Charlotte Executive MBA Programs while leading student engagement initiatives and event management for the Chapel Hill-based Evening and Weekend Executive MBA Programs.
This highly collaborative role serves as a primary resource for students, faculty, and staff, ensuring consistent delivery of academic services, effective communication, and a high-quality student experience. The Program Manager partners closely with Program Directors, Academic Operations staff, Student Engagement colleagues, faculty, and university partners to support student success from onboarding through graduation.
The position also serves as a backup to the Assistant Director of Academics, providing support for registration, enrollment, academic records, degree audits, academic eligibility processes, grading processes, and student advising during periods of absence or peak operational demand.
The Program Manager reports to the Senior Director of Executive MBA Programs and requires evening and weekend work to support program activities.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience coordinating events and logistics;
- Experience in higher education or an academic setting;
- Familiarity with relevant technologies (student information systems, CRM & LMS platforms);
- Excellent project management skills.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities
This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
