Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.


Responsibilities

Location: Wichita, KS (On-site)

Must be able to work a flexible work schedule between the 1st and 2nd shift

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one Materials Management and Transportation job family and applies independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives
  • Activities include, but are not limited to, the development, integration, implementation, and execution of multidisciplinary business processes
  • Works cross-functionally within internal and external customers and suppliers and all employee levels to carry out responsibilities

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance 
  • Successful candidates must be able to secure Program access approval

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in a Lead or Management role
  • Active DoD Security Clearance
  • Knowledge of managing 3PLs, shipping, warehousing, receiving, and internal logistic functions
  • Project Management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience
  • SAP experience
  • Aerospace Manufacturing and/or Logistics & Warehouse Management background
