Job description

Futures start here. Where first steps, new friendships, and confident learners are born. At KinderCare Learning Companies, the first and only early childhood education provider recognized with the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award, we offer a variety of early education and child care options for families. Whether it's KinderCare Learning Centers, Champions, or Creme de la Creme, we build confidence for kids, families, and the future we share. And we want you to join us in shaping it-in neighborhoods, at work, and in schools nationwide.

At KinderCare Learning Companies, you'll use your skills and expertise to support the work (and fun) that happens in our sites and centers every day. From marketers and strategists to financial analysts and data engineers, and so much more, we're all passionate about crafting a world where children, families, and organizations can thrive.

KinderCare is looking for a Manager, Data Analytics to lead and grow a team of analysts who will deliver insight to shape how we run and grow our business. This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Analytics & Product Design and sits at the center of a fast-moving, cross- functional analytics practice. The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of analytical craft and executive influence.

As the Manager, Data Analytics, you'll be responsible for the quality, prioritization, and delivery of the team's analytical work. You'll serve as the anchor for a growing team of analysts, helping them sharpen their thinking, navigate complex decision environments, and advance the practice of analytics at KinderCare. The ideal candidate brings credibility to earn the team's trust on day one and instincts to develop that team over time.

At KinderCare, we believe in progress over perfection. For the Manager, Data Analytics, that means comfort with ambiguity, the ability to move fast without losing rigor, and a genuine interest in building a team, practice, and culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the director on team vision, hiring, and the continued buildout of the Enterprise Analytics practice; you'll prioritize work and sharpen the communication of insights, navigating a high volume of requests
  • Co-create executive narratives and presentations and own delivery independently in senior leadership forums
  • Triage urgent requests, assess scope quickly, mobilize the right resources, and ensure quality turnarounds without sacrificing rigor
  • Build and maintain cross-functional relationships across the organization, serving as a thought partner for business leaders who are trying to make better decisions with data
  • Invest actively in team management and professional development, including regular check-ins, coaching, and performance management
  • Identify and remove emerging blockers before they slow the team down
  • Model and champion effective use of AI tools to create practical & sustainable acceleration in analytics delivery
Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with a track record of progressively complex and business-critical work
  • People management experience leading a team of 4 or more with a genuine instinct for developing talent
  • Experience working across multiple business domains, with the capacity to context-switch several times a day without losing depth
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and regular re-prioritization is required
  • Analytical fluency: can read a model, spot a flawed metric, and push back on a methodology when something doesn't add up
  • AI fluency: you actively use AI tools in your own work and can help your team identify where AI adds real value
  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based analytical platforms preferred
