Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Manager, Data Management is accountable for guiding data standards and quality, governance, master data management, and compliance to drive business value and operational efficiencies. The Manager, Data Management will also be responsible for establishing data governance standards, best practices, training and support for these same initiatives.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establishes and enhances data management standards, policies, and processes.
  • Collaborates with corporate functional teams and field Business Units to develop standards, implement process, and challenge status quo.
  • Collaborates with IT on technology improvements that enable and enforce data governance and standardization.
  • Identifies opportunities for data standardization and enrichment and proposes potential solutions.
  • Leads the day to day team to define product specifications, milestones, and approve requirements and development.
  • Plans and directs standardization and data cleanup efforts on related projects.
  • Defines and has a clear understanding of project goals, current progress/status, milestones achieved, remaining effort, and budget status.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with data governance, metadata, master data management, data architecture, data strategy, data quality, data modeling, data standards.
  • Working knowledge of data governance best practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets, and approaches related to data protection.
  • Experience creating data workflows, process flows, business or technical requirements documents, and product support documents.
  • Proven management experience leading cross-functional internal or external (e.g. vendor) team using IT project lifecycle methodologies.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal, external data and processes to answer business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience with data quality applications and tools.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple, demanding large-scale projects; ability to work within tight deadlines.

MINIMUM QUALITIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience supporting complex IT initiatives.
  • 3 years of experience in data management, data governance, or data analytics.
  • Experience in management or leading a team.

This position is a hybrid role. This candidate will be required to work onsite 4-days per week, with the option to work 1-day per week remote. Our HQ address is 5353 E City North Drive Phoenix, AZ
