Job description

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a student-focused, mission-driven Program Manager to lead the development and delivery of workforce-aligned training programs, including the Microelectronics training and customized career readiness initiatives. This position will oversee programming designed to support business, industry, and underserved learner populations. The Program Manager will ensure operational excellence, student success, and employer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with college and sponsored program standards.
This position is funded through December 2027. Continued employment is contingent upon future funding.
Annual Salary: $45,000

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:


Program Management & Coordination

  • Lead development and execution of the Microelectronics training initiative, a workforce-aligned training program for careers in semiconductor fabrication and related tech fields.
  • Work in partnership with the program sponsor (Regional Opportunity Initiatives) to align program strategies to community and ecosystems needs.
  • Coordinate facilities, materials, and instructor assignments for all program sites.
  • Maintain up-to-date project budgets and assist with financial processing (invoicing, billing, vouchers).
  • Manage program calendar, including course start/end dates, graduations, and career events.
  • Oversee logistics and delivery of student incentives, needs, and course materials.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation and use of statewide contract templates.
  • Support basic maintenance and support of microelectronics equipment under direction of staff subject matter experts.


Student Engagement & Success

  • Guide prospective students through microelectronics/semiconductor enrollment and intake process including summer programming, skills training, and academic support.
  • Monitor attendance and progress with proactive outreach and support.
  • Connect students to wraparound services, certification prep, and job readiness resources.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment grounded in peer engagement and career outcomes.
  • Ensure grades, certifications, and evaluation data are captured in appropriate systems.


Employer & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Build and sustain collaborative partnerships with employers, industry stakeholders, and workforce development entities.
  • Work with Ivy Tech Employer Consultant/Liaison to define employer training priorities and contracts.
  • Liaise with external partners including Regional Opportunity Initiatives (ROI), industry partners, and workforce boards.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings to provide updates and gather feedback on training needs and outcomes.


Data & Reporting

  • Track enrollment, attendance, certification, and placement data in systems like Salesforce, Banner, and Workday.
  • Prepare reports for internal stakeholders and funders in alignment with sponsor and institutional requirements.
  • Monitor trends to evaluate program equity, effectiveness, and areas for improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business, workforce training, or program coordination.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets and contracts.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout an 8-county service area.
