Primary Function
The Program Analyst supports Directors and Program Managers in the execution, coordination, and analysis of program operations, financial activities, and contract performance. This role is responsible for monitoring program metrics, supporting budget and resource tracking, maintaining program documentation, and assisting with operational planning to ensure successful execution of customer requirements. The Program Analyst serves as a liaison between program leadership, internal functional teams, and external stakeholders to support efficient program operations and mission success.
Essential Duties
  • Supports Directors and Program Managers in the execution and oversight of program activities to ensure customer requirements, schedules, and business objectives are achieved.
  • Assists with program planning, tracking, and reporting activities including schedules, staffing, deliverables, risks, and action items.
  • Monitors and analyzes program financial data, budgets, labor utilization, and cost performance to support program execution and management decision-making.
  • Assists with program/project Profit & Loss (P&L) tracking, forecasting, and cost control activities.
  • Develops, maintains, and distributes program reports, metrics, dashboards, briefings, and status updates for leadership and customers.
  • Coordinates internal and external communications related to program operations, deliverables, meetings, and customer engagements.
  • Organizes and maintains program documentation, agendas, meeting minutes, action trackers, and contract-related records.
  • Supports resource planning and coordination to ensure alignment with program priorities and operational requirements.
  • Assists in identifying program risks, issues, and process improvement opportunities; supports development of corrective actions and mitigation strategies.
  • Supports Quality Assurance, Safety, Training, and compliance initiatives by coordinating activities with appropriate corporate and program personnel.
  • Assists with contract administration activities including tracking contract modifications, deliverables, funding, and compliance requirements.
  • Participates in business development, proposal support, and capture-related activities as required.
  • Provides analytical support and recommendations to subsidiary leadership regarding program performance, operational trends, and organizational priorities.
  • Ensures adherence to program schedules, contractual requirements, and company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position typically does not have direct supervisory responsibilities; however, the individual may coordinate activities across functional teams and provide guidance or task oversight in support of program objectives.
Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience working with program management, financial tracking, reporting, or data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Ability to prepare professional reports, briefings, correspondence, and program documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with external customers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities and support program execution with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of government contracting environments, contract administration processes, and program lifecycle support.
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements, contract documents, schedules, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with the ability to recommend practical solutions.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with program leadership and support teams.
  • Strong customer service orientation with demonstrated follow-through and responsiveness.
  • Ability to learn and apply corporate policies, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Ability to perform basic financial and mathematical computations related to budgets, labor tracking, and cost analysis.
  • Familiarity with DoD, NASA, DOE, or other federal contracting environments is preferred.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Program Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience supporting program management, program analysis, cost controls, operations, contracts, or business operations within a government contracting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience supporting DoD, NASA, DOE, or other U.S. Government programs is preferred.
  • Active Government Security Clearance required with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
  • Prior experience supporting program operations, reporting, financial analysis, or contract administration activities is preferred.
