Job description

The Digital Program Manager is a core member of the Digital Program Management Office (PMO), collaborating closely with the Pillar Lead, leading all aspects of the associated Portfolio within the Digital Function. In this role you will lead complex, international, Digital programs across the organization and collaborate with the PMO team to establish standard processes and promote an Agile mindset. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, critical thinker, and has strong leadership, organization and communications.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Leadership:
  • Drive transformation and modernization efforts to achieve the organization's goals
  • Partner with Business and Digital Leaders to build prioritized, strategic roadmaps, demand and capability forecasting for the portfolio
  • Support the Pillar Lead through day-to-day debriefings, execution and planning
  • Lead financial planning during the annual operating planning process
  • Prepare for Monthly Business/Operating Reviews
  • Lead tracking and improvement of portfolio business value, goals, and metrics
  • Coach Product Owners and Scrum Leaders

Program and Project Management:
  • Define critical paths to execution, including building short-term project plans to high-level, collaborate with Product Owners to establish multi-year product roadmaps
  • Communicate status, risks, issues, and decisions to leadership at all levels in the organization
  • Ensure backlogs are defined, prioritized and aligned with strategic prioritization
  • Define responsibilities and assign tasks for relevant initiatives
  • Assume Release Train Engineer responsibilities to conduct Scaled Agile and PI Planning events
  • Lead and coordinate with third parties, participate in review of statements of work (SOW) and ensure third party delivery in accordance with defined SOWs
  • Support cost-benefit analysis, planning, organization, and adaptation efforts for new critical initiatives
  • Ensure successful timely delivery, aligned with customer expectations by applying agile methodologies
  • Develop resource plans across programs and projects
  • Drive annual planning activities and synthesize across pillars, functions and segments
  • Lead capital expenditure requests from business case through delivery
  • Act as a Change Agent for Digital Operating Model
  • Coach teams and Product Owners in defining and measuring meaningful KPIs to evaluate effectiveness of investments

YOU HAVE:
  • Driven, Self-starter
  • Academic background in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (or related field) required
  • 7+ years of experience in Digital and Scaled Agile Leadership
  • 10+ years in Digital Program Management leading multi-functional projects [e.g., integrations, Oracle Fusion ERP (preferred), logistics, product lifecycle management, manufacturing execution systems, automation, cloud, SaaS, etc.]
  • Experience identifying, prioritizing and tracking business value for the portfolio
  • Experience collaborating with teams that simultaneously manage multiple projects and do significant amount of operational and unplanned work.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with Digital teams, business partners and executive leadership
  • Ability to lead, organize and empower teams in geographically dispersed locations
  • Ability to solve complicated Business problems while navigating in an uncertain environment
  • Experience leading AI/ML program objectives in collaboration with data scientists, engineers, a plus
  • Ability to proactively predict and address risks and issues

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
$123,500.00 - $229,500.00
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
