Job Title: Program Instructor, part-time
Department: Education
Reports to: School Programs Manager
Job Summary:
Program Instructors are responsible for presenting educational programs to school groups. These programs cover a wide range of science and natural history subjects, and audiences range from a few to hundreds. During school breaks, Program Instructors lead camp sessions in conjunction with other Education staff. Program Instructors report to the School Programs Manager.
Major Functions:
  • Deliver school programs to preK-12 students visiting the Museum on field trips.
  • Deliver classroom-format programs to preK-12 students as part of school outreach, including but not limited to afterschool programs, family science nights and more.
  • Lead school break camp programming alongside full-time Education staff.
  • Assist with preparations for educational programs as needed.
  • Assist the Education Department with other tasks and duties as assigned.
