Job description

The Maintenance Manager directs all maintenance activities at our 1,800 MW coal-fired power plant. You will lead a multidisciplinary union team of internal personnel across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines and oversee external contractors. This role ensures maximum plant availability, and reliability.

This position is a member of the Station's Leadership Team and is responsible for providing leadership to the station's maintenance employees. The position ensures all aspects of safety and environmental requirements are incorporated and executed in work plans. The position is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and administration of the maintenance strategy to meet the objectives identified in the Keystone Station Business Plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive safety and environmental leadership at the station.
  • Assure the development and implementation of effective Work Management Program and System. The maintenance procedures and processes need to ensure that maintenance is performed in a manner that prioritizes personnel safety, environmental, and equipment reliability.
  • Oversee, execute and manage maintenance budgets and update monthly budget forecasts.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and communicate the station's maintenance plan.
  • Manage the station's maintenance work force to achieve business targets, schedules and budgets.
  • Manage and coordinate activities of contractors embedded in the station maintenance support activities.
  • Optimize internal and external resources in support of station maintenance needs.
  • Development of workforce by overseeing safety training, technical craft progression, and performance evaluations.
  • Support the Station's General Manager in the performance of his/her accountabilities.
