Finance Analyst

Our client is seeking a Finance Analyst to partner closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support project financial performance, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. This role offers a unique blend of FP&A, project finance, and business partnering responsibilities, providing visibility across operations and leadership teams.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with Project Managers to ensure accurate project cost tracking and financial performance reporting
  • Analyze utilization, labor costs, open commitments, forecasts, and key project metrics
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities
  • Assist with pricing, bids, and proposals, including reviewing cost estimates and evaluating financial risks
  • Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and original project plans
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and communicate recommendations to stakeholders
  • Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and financial models to improve visibility into project performance
  • Drive process improvements that increase reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial controls
  • Collaborate across departments to support informed business decisions and project success

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Experience in financial analysis, project finance, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or related finance functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and financial modeling
  • Experience performing variance analysis and developing management reports
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint
  • Experience with Epicor or other ERP systems
  • Exposure to consolidation and financial reporting tools
  • Experience working in project-based, government contracting, engineering, manufacturing, or similar environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
