Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers through effective communication by making outbound calls to potential customers
  • Maintain current customer relationships by communicating with them consistently
  • Stay updated on product and service offerings to ensure accurate information delivery
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of current and prospective customers
  • Demonstrate the features and benefits of our products to customers
  • Understand our finance programs to remain competitive in the market
  • Research and qualify new leads to enhance your sales pipeline, aiming to close sales and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to sharpen your skills
  • Maintain the equipment displays and showroom displays
  • Act as a liaison between departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer orientation โ€“ able to work with customers to understand their needs and overcome obstacles

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and CRM software.

  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical knowledge and experience within the industry are a plus but not required. The right candidate must have interest and enthusiasm to learn about equipment so they can connect our customers to the appropriate area within Alta Equipment and provide exceptional customer experience from start to finish.ย 
  • Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Reasoning Ability - Basic: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use sit, use hands, talk/hear; Frequently will reach with hands; Occasionally will stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste/smell.
