Reporting to: Delivery Head / Client Partner

Responsibilities
Program Leadership and Strategy
  • Develop and implement program strategies and objectives that align with the company's long-term goals and client needs
  • Drive the entire program lifecycle, from initial concept and proposal to final delivery and post-project review in collaboration with offshore project managers.
  • Contribute to market analysis and competitive positioning strategies
  • Participate in annual planning, forecasting, portfolio-level reviews and ensure business continuity.
Client Relationship Management & Business Development
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Work with client sponsors to identify potential business opportunities and facilitate discussions.
  • Understand client business objectives and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Work with a cross functional team (program & SLT) to plan the workshop, submit proposals & statement of work and other business documents, as applicable.
  • Work with client stakeholders to manage expectations, address escalations, resolve queries, smoothly execute the program & ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Lead client meetings, provide status quo to SLT for program reviews, and strategic planning.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand program scope to deepen partnerships.
  • Present capabilities along with sales and contribute to proposals, pricing strategies, etc.
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee program planning, execution, and delivery across multiple disciplines along with offshore project managers.
  • Ensure adherence to project methodologies, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor program performance using KPIs, metrics, and dashboards
  • Manage program budgets, resource utilization, and ensure profitability
  • Identify and mitigate program risks and issues
  • Monitor program financials including billing & invoicing, and PO utilization.
Team Management
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of engineering and design professionals, including project managers, engineers, designers and domain specialists
  • Manage resource allocation, talent development, and annual performance evaluation.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering/ technology (e.g. Mechanical, Production, Biomedical etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, Six sigma or other relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience with specific industry-standard tools and software (e.g., CAD, CAE, PLM, project management software like Jira or MS Project, Generative AI, Automations).
Experience
  • 15+ years in engineering services, with at least 5 years in a program director-level role.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary engineering and design projects or programs worth $5 Mn+ & team size (100+) from conception to completion.
  • A strong understanding of engineering principles and design processes. Experience with Healthcare, MedTech projects would be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong customer engagement experience
  • Excellent strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical teams and senior leadership etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of project and program management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Travel
  • This role requires 20% travel on need basis.
