Hiring Range: $29.88 - $37.34 per hour

Worksite Location: On-Site 100%
Job Summary: The Substance Use Disorder Program (SUDP) Clinical Supervisor supervises the Substance Use Disorder Professionals (SUDP/T) team and SUDP Peers. The SUDP Supervisor ensures high-quality treatment for clients, within a recovery framework based on a trauma-informed care model, to improve functioning and health. The Supervisor reviews and coordinates all referrals at the Pacific Hope and Recovery Center. This role supports staff in the performance of their duties through oversight of unit operations, care coordination and problem-solving within the care team, and with clients, other agency programs, and community resources. The SUDP Supervisor provides regular review of clinical records and other documentation, to ensure appropriate service delivery, community linkages, and documentation.
General Summary of Duties:
- Provide supervision to SUDP/Ts on all phases of recovery and evidence-based SUD treatment practices. Modalities may include individual & family therapy, group therapy, psycho-educational workshops, recovery skill-building groups, and crisis intervention.
- Manage referrals to PHRC, review ASAM evaluations, triage the waitlist, and streamline processes to ensure clients access care in a timely manner.
- Provide regular individual supervision. Document and keep records of significant interactions. Complete performance appraisals within KMHS standards and timelines.
- Promote the enhancement of positive staff morale by facilitating a timely response to problems, ensuring thorough and accurate internal communications, and providing opportunities for staff recognition.
- Conduct an ongoing review of clinical charts and all SUDP-specific documentation and ASAM to assure quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Assist in hiring, training, coaching, developing, evaluating and correction of staff.
- Participate in program development and curriculum development.
- Directly supervise assigned reports to facilitate coverage or personally provide coverage as needed.
- For continuity of care, facilitate shift reports during pass-downs to ensure clients' progress is communicated across shifts at PHRC.
- Facilitate a common language within the unit as to assessing acuity, risk, and methods of intervention.
- Work closely with the program leadership, MHPs, shift supervisors, and others to organize a cohesive crisis intervention, including assessing for a higher level of care.
- Provide substance use disorder individual sessions, groups, and psycho-educational classes as needed.
In addition to the above, any other responsibilities assigned by the director appropriate to the position and not specifically listed in the job description.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associate's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.
EXPERIENCE: Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)
LICENSURE: Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration. Current credential as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) in WA State. Must meet and maintain the requirements of a SUDP Approved Supervisor as defined in WAC 246-811-049 and the ability to provide supervision to SUDP/T.
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social services, or behavioral health field.
EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience)
Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
Performance Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE:
- Maintain a working knowledge and skill in verbal de-escalation skills and other agency-mandated training.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of psychotropic medications and their side effects and contraindications with drugs of abuse and report any relevant observations to care team medical personnel.
- Pursue professional growth and development by seeking out learning opportunities, coordinate with the unit manager to share with the team, and if approved, integrate into work practices.
- Maintain working knowledge of current Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health treatment recommendations, and trends in community mental health, including health care reform, electronic medical records, and computer technology.
SKILLS:
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other employees, clients, organizations, and the public.
- Communicates clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrate ability to work efficiently and effectively, organizing workload by prioritizing and managing multiple tasks. Maintain productivity standards as established by policy and evaluated by the unit manager.
ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners such as Mobile Crisis Outreach Team, housing team, treatment teams, AIU, Residential, KMHS Medical Providers, Probation, KRC, other community-based treatment providers, law enforcement, and medical community to assist those whom we serve in their recovery process.
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment: Residential treatment facility.
Mental/Physical Requirements: While performing the job duties, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen. Peripheral vision is also required for this position. Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods.
