Job description

Red Pulley Technology Solutions is seeking a Health IT Training Specialist to support a federal electronic health record (EHR) modernization initiative for the Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Health Services Corps (IHSC). The ideal candidate has experience delivering EHR or healthcare IT training, strong instructional design skills, and the ability to translate complex technical system changes into clear, user-friendly learning resources for a geographically distributed federal healthcare workforce. All work is performed in support of Government staff and within authorized Government-managed environments.
Location: Washington, DC Metro Area (Remote), with occasional onsite work required by Government
Clearance: Public Trust - Preliminary and Complete Fitness Determination Required
Employment Type: Full-Time
Status: Contingent Upon Contract Award
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Health Informatics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience developing and delivering Health IT training in federal or regulated healthcare environments
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and role-based training approaches
  • Certification in instructional design or a related field required
  • Ability to translate technical system changes into clear, user-friendly training content
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to support large-scale implementations across diverse user populations
  • U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate approved EHR system changes into training impacts and learning requirements
  • Develop, update, and maintain EHR-specific training materials, job aids, and learning resources aligned to clinical and operational workflows
  • Coordinate training schedules with system releases, enhancements, and go-live activities
  • Deliver instructor-led and virtual training sessions for end users and super-users
  • Support training readiness assessments and track adoption metrics to improve user readiness and system utilization
  • Assist with go-live support and post-implementation optimization training
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams to ensure training accuracy and consistency
  • Maintain training documentation and learning management artifacts in accordance with Government records management requirements

Preferred Qualifications
  • ATD CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) or equivalent
  • eClinicalWorks or other EHR platform-specific certification
  • Experience supporting DHS, ICE, IHSC, or other federal healthcare IT or EHR modernization programs
  • Experience supporting EHR go-live and post-implementation optimization across multiple facilities
  • Familiarity with clinical and operational healthcare workflows and federal environments
  • Experience with learning management systems, virtual training delivery, and training/adoption metrics
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Teams, or similar collaboration and reporting tools
