Company Name: Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Barnstable is looking for full-time and per diem PTAs!

Up to $40 an hour with weekly pay. Higher rate for per diem. Cape Regency is a 120-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term rehab and long-term care. The full-time schedule is on weekdays but does include an occasional 1 weekend day rotation.

Job Description:

We are hiring a per diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic care team! As a PTA, you will assist in the provision and collection of assessment data, direct treatment to a general rehab caseload under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, and participate in clinical program development.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant required

  • Must possess an active and unencumbered Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state, or be in the process or eligible to obtain one

  • New graduates welcome!

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Under a physicians order, provides direct resident treatments in accordance with an established plan of care

  • Contributes to the team meeting and decision-making process as defined by the program

  • Consults with and trains residents and caregivers

  • Monitors efficiencies on an ongoing basis in collaboration with the supervisor

  • Documents activities according to the companys clinical documentation system on a timely basis

  • Demonstrates consistent knowledge and application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations

  • Participates in clinical program development and implementation

  • Demonstrates the ability for continuous new learning to remain current in the field

  • May perform additional duties as requested by supervisor

  • Participates in quality improvement activities

Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Standing and walking for significant amounts of time is necessary

  • Ability to perform documentation needs, manipulations of equipment and direct patient care

  • Requires intense attention and concentration

  • Ability to cope with periodic stress associated with changing census and staffing demands

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time effectively for self and others

  • Ability to deal with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds

  • Ability to articulate and comprehend the English language
