We have a unique opportunity in our newly formed Medical Technology group for a Business Development Manager (BDM). Are you eager to tap into the medical technology sector market with Vector products, keep an eye on technological trends, the market, and the environment? Be the first BDM to join our dynamic, entrepreneurial, and collaborative team to help shape the future of medical technology.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager for this newly created position to accelerate our growth in the Medical Technology sector. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, foster strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth for our software solutions:

  1. Business Strategy & Development
    • Drive and execute strategic business development plans targeting medical technology markets and customers.
    • Identify and create both new and add-on business opportunities with target companies.
    • Strategically build customer relationships from technical to executive management stakeholders.
  2. Customer Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary point of contact facilitating revenue growth targets and issue resolution.
    • Build trusted advisor relationships by positioning the company as an innovation partner and aligning our solutions with customer strategies.
    • Lead regular executive business reviews.
  3. Business Development Management
    • Understand customer goals, challenges, and requirements for medical equipment/device customers.
    • Identify and propose Vector products and software to integrate into customer processes.
  4. Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with product line management and customer sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
    • Ensure smooth execution of product deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
    • Provide market and customer feedback to influence product roadmaps.
  5. Market & Industry Insight
    • Conduct and support assessments in the field of Medical Technology and other industries.
    • Perform technical evaluations in order to present our solutions to customers in a customized manner.
    • Provide intelligence on competitor offerings, customer strategies, and market shifts.
    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, contribute in the form of presentations and lectures.

Requirements

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences) or equivalent education and experience.

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management in the Medical Technology sector.
    • 3 to 5+ years experience in code testing, system testing, or embedded software
    • Strong understanding of electronics and software solutions for healthcare applications.
    • Previous experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, VectorCAST, HIL/SIL) is desirable.
    • Proven track record of securing new business and developing strategic partnerships.
    • Knowledge of FDA & ISO regulated environments, preferably in the medical device sector.
    • Experience with long-cycle sales and complex solution selling.
  • Knowledge & Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to influence and build consensus with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
    • Customer focused with an entrepreneurial mindset.
    • Strategic mindset with execution discipline including follow up and time management.
    • Ability to work effectively with local and global cross-functional teams
    • Ability to travel 20 to 40% as needed
