Project Manager | Civil Engineering (Site Development / Public Works)

We're seeking an experienced civil engineering leader to guide Public Works and Site Development projects that serve communities across Southern California. This position reports to our Downtown Los Angeles office, with the flexibility to work from our Riverside, Santa Clarita or Orange County offices.

What You'll Do: You'll lead a team of talented professionals through the full lifecycle of transformative projects, supporting educational, municipal, and other public sector clients throughout Southern California. Our team benefits from a strong backlog of work and opportunities to collaborate with other engineering teams and service groups across the firm.
  • Project Management: Lead multiple site development and civil infrastructure projects from planning through construction; managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations while coordinating with agencies and external/internal teams.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff while fostering a collaborative, inclusive team environment that supports professional growth.
  • Client Partnerships: Build and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted partner to educational and municipal clients, navigating Southern California agency coordination, permitting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Business Development: Lead the development of proposals in response to Requests for Qualifications/Proposals (RFQs/RFPs), support Design-Build competitions, and participate in presentations/workshops/interviews. Throughout all aspects of business development, you will collaborate closely with leadership and marketing.

Required Qualifications:
  • Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 8+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
  • 1+ years demonstrated experience leading projects, teams, and client relationships
  • Experience working with Southern California educational institutions, public agencies, and municipalities

Preferred: DBIA certification (or ability to obtain)
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Salary: $125,000 - $160,000 (commensurate with experience)
