Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will help develop and execute the organization's strategic goals and achieve its financial growth plans. This is a highly visible, customer-facing role responsible for building key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and negotiating and closing business deals while representing the company professionally in the marketplace.
Ideal candidates are energetic, solutions-minded sales professionals who can prospect effectively, lead consultative conversations that address customer pain points, and translate those needs into winning proposals. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, a self-motivated and positive approach, and the ability to develop pursuit strategies that expand the company's reach and customer base.
Core Responsibilities
- Prospect and identify new potential customers across the commercial market.
- Identify and conduct sales meetings with prospective customers.
- Take the lead role in developing proposals and solutions geared toward resolving customer pain points and addressing their concerns and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and evolving customer needs.
- Develop business pursuit strategies to expand customer contact reach.
- Attend networking and marketing events to build brand presence and generate new opportunities.
- Negotiate and close business deals that support the organization's financial growth plans.
- Represent the company professionally to customers, partners, and the broader market.
Required Background
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a similar field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to integrity and quality.
- Positive attitude and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including CRM tools.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
