The Leonardo DRS Land Electronics business provides C4I Network computing and integrated situational awareness, as well as state-of-the-art embedded diagnostics, vehicle power management and combat vehicle integration products and services.

Job Summary

Manage and execute the evaluation and implementation of new business initiatives and growth opportunities for Land Electronics. This role drives market and competitive assessment, customer and partner engagement, pipeline ownership, and cross-functional execution in support of U.S. defense modernization priorities.

What You Will Do

Provide strategic and tactical direction for business development by evaluating and advancing new initiatives and opportunities under the direction of senior business development leader or site leader
Conduct (and may oversee) market analysis and competitive assessment to inform pursuit decisions
Assist in planning, designing, and implementing business plans that align to company vision and strategy
Coordinate and facilitate commitments with internal departments and functions to drive execution
Develop, maintain, and track project schedules and key milestones
Engage customers independently and build, develop, and manage partnerships and strategic alliances
Develop and own the opportunity pipeline from early shaping through pursuit
Support capture activities including white papers, proposals, overview materials, and marketing content
Deliver presentations on the company portfolio of products and services
Represent the company at trade shows and external events
Apply working knowledge of the government budgeting process to support planning and prioritization

Technical Qualifications
  • US military modernization
  • C5ISR product experience
  • Open architecture computing (OpenVPX, VITA, SOSA)
  • Military architecture standards (CMOSS, GCIA, AARA)

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's degree preferred
10+ years of experience in Business Development Operations preferred
Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
Strong planning, organization, project management, and time management skills
Ability to work effectively on complex problems with sound judgment
Knowledge of company products, markets, and technology
Strong analytical and financial skills
Experience with BD capture processes; Shipley method preferred
Ability to travel 50% or more at times
