Job Summary

The Director of Program Development will be responsible for overseeing and driving the development and execution of manufacturing programs for the company’s contract manufacturing clients. This role requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of manufacturing operations, supplier management, and program management. The individual will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure that product development, quality standards, timelines, and cost objectives are met. The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the growth strategy of the company’s contract manufacturing services.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Leadership:

  • Lead the development and execution of contract manufacturing programs for multiple clients across various industries.
  • Oversee the program development, from initial client engagement to product launch, ensuring adherence to quality, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for processes and timelines in collaboration with clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships are built and maintained.
  • Understand client needs and translate them into actionable program plans and milestones.
  • Ensure clear and transparent communication with clients regarding project status, issues, and resolutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless program launch.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to secure materials and components for the manufacturing process, especially source-controlled materials.
  • Collaborate with customers’ engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of new products.

Process Improvement and Innovation:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance program efficiency and product quality among operations and customers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by introducing new manufacturing techniques and technologies to customers.
  • Collaborate with customers on cost reduction initiatives while maintaining or improving product quality.

Financial Oversight:

  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
  • Review contracts, cost estimates, and financial forecasts related to contract manufacturing programs.

Compliance and Regulatory:

  • Ensure all contract manufacturing programs comply with applicable industry regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, GMP).
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in contract manufacturing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in program development and management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in contract manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of contract manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and industry regulations (e.g., ISO, GMP).
  • Skills:
