Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the client database and identify opportunities for growth;
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients;
  • Identify new business opportunities, markets, and prospective clients across industries and geographic regions;
  • Develop and execute targeted business development and marketing initiatives;
  • Generate and qualify leads through research, outreach, networking, and cold-calling;
  • Manage business development activities, leads, and opportunities through the sales pipeline;
  • Represent the company at client meetings, networking events, conferences, trade shows, and industry events;
  • Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to support strategic growth initiatives; and
  • Independently manage priorities, follow-ups, and day-to-day business development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field;
  • 4+ years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or client relations;
  • Experience in the engineering, architecture, construction, environmental, or broader A/E/C industry preferred;
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and presentation skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; and
  • Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings, networking events, conferences, and trade shows.

This is a salaried, non-commission-based position with eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus. The estimated salary range for this role is listed below. Candidates with exceptional industry connections and/or significant experience in business development and civil engineering may be considered for compensation above the posted range, based on their experience and qualifications.

Higher compensation than the amount listed below may be offered commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Salary Range
$75,000—$105,000 USD
