Accounting Internship
Looking for more than just another internship? Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in accounting and be available to work in person in our Manhattan office.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to take direction and apply feedback.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Responsibilities
  • Learn new technology tools and interpret data efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist multiple departments with client service and operational projects throughout the year.
  • Support tax, audit, CAS, employee benefit audit, PCR, and other service line engagements.
  • Prepare workpapers, organize client files, and assist with project documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify, research, and resolve client issues.
  • Assist with tax return preparation and related projects during tax season.
  • Support data analytics, reporting, process improvement, and workflow initiatives.
  • Participate in administrative and special projects that support firm operations.
  • Attend training sessions, networking opportunities, and professional development activities.
  • Work on projects where you can apply your academic knowledge, manage priorities and deadlines, and develop new skills.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learn how to work as part of a team to support our firm and clients.

Commitment
This is a paid year-long internship June 1, 2027 - April 30, 2028
Summer (June - August)
  • Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Fall Semester (August - December)
  • 15-20 hours per week with scheduling flexibility around class commitments.

Tax Season (January - April)
  • Minimum of 25-30 hours per week, with additional hours available based on class schedule.

Interns will rotate among departments based on business needs and developmental opportunities, allowing exposure to multiple career paths within public accounting.
