Job description

The Business Development Associate is a part of the Business Development team and is responsible for implementing the strategic sales plans for all non-summer programs, including:
  • Outdoor School Programs
  • Group and Family Retreats
  • Team Building
  • East Valley Ranch

Success in this role is measured by the ability to effectively promote and sell the Frost Valley experience to schools, groups, and families. The Associate will focus on proactive customer outreach, lead generation, and relationship management to ensure that non-summer programs meet or exceed departmental revenue goals. The Business Development Associate is expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and service, supporting the mission of the Business Development Department, the YMCA, and Frost Valley as a whole-while meeting the expectations of both staff and guests.
Requirements
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business leads, focusing on creative revenue streams and aligning with Frost Valley's strategic goals.
  • Convert leads into successful bookings through strategic sales efforts and compelling communications.
  • Engage in email outreach, phone calls, and research to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Promote Frost Valley programs by representing the organization at camp fairs and community events.
  • Monitor sales leads and conversion rates to ensure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to target new demographics and develop strategies for attracting new users.
  • Implement recruitment and communication strategies to re-engage past guests, nurture leads, and explore new business growth areas.
  • Maintain flexibility with work hours and be willing to travel as needed to support sales initiatives.
  • Ensure that all activities align with Frost Valley's mission and values of respect, responsibility, caring, honesty, community, diversity, stewardship, and inclusion.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience or minimum of two years working in sales, marketing or customer service industries
  • Experience or knowledge of the hospitality or camp industry is preferred
  • Proven success with group recruitment and revenue generation
  • Strong customer service background
  • Experience with or the ability to quickly master: Google Workspace, Camp Brain, and Salesforce
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Be a strong leader and be able to work well with a team of others
  • Be able to multitask and handle pressure well
  • Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation
