Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Market Sector Lead to be based in Los Angeles, CA.

AECOM’s Program Management (PgM) business line is a global leader providing program, project and construction management services delivering complex, programs and projects across diverse sectors. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and excellence, PgM provides end-to-end solutions that drive impactful results for clients worldwide. Our expertise spans infrastructure, transportation, energy, water, and urban development, ensuring that every program is executed with precision, efficiency, and sustainability.   We are looking for an individual who can work across these markets, building on established existing relationships with education, local & state government and healthcare clients in Southern California. 

  • Drive sustained annual growth through targeted market strategies, key client engagement, and leadership of priority pursuits.
  • Represent AECOM externally through industry leadership roles, conference presentations, thought leadership, and professional organizations.
  • Enhance AECOM’s reputation and brand through participation in key industry events, client forums, and strategic engagements.
  • Advocate for ethical and safe working practices.
  • Work with Global Business Lines, Regional leadership, and other Market Sector Leaders to identify new business opportunities and develop solutions to address them.
  • Identify areas of high risk and proactively take action to positively impact program outcomes.
  • Contribute to the global learning and people development strategy for program, project and construction management, including identification of talent gaps and resourcing plans.
  • Assess long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertise, proactively addressing emerging challenges and opportunities.
  • Actively leads and supports the attraction and retention of talent.
  • Accountable for overall financial success and delivery of AECOM Program Management services in the region.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 12 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
  • Experience in business development across market sectors including: Healthcare, Education, Municipal and State Governments and others.
  • Growth experience including significant PMCM and Program Management Awards
  • Demonstrated experience managing P&L responsibility, including revenue growth, margin, utilization, and operational performance.
  • Experience leading or supporting pursuits, contract negotiations, and service initiation for program, project and construction management awards.
  • Sustaining services as a trusted client account lead.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Growth experience including significant PMCM and Program Management Awards
  • Experience in business development across market sectors including: Healthcare, Education, Municipal and State Governments and others.
  • Experience leading capture on large opportunities and initiation of services
  • Sustaining services as a trusted client account lead.
