Provides oversight and direct leadership of a team responsible for delivering multiple initiatives that support the overall strategic objectives of the business unit. Provides direct leadership and cross-functional influence to ensure programs are executed with adherence to proper protocols. This teammate possesses expert knowledge of the processes in the assigned portfolio and is a key contributor to the line of business success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Oversee and monitor the overall health of the assigned project portfolio, including intake, planning, business readiness, and execution.
2. Provide direct leadership to teams of internal and external resources to ensure their ability to effectively deliver appropriate project management, business analysis, business readiness, and client and teammate communications.
3. Engage with various partners, including Risk partners, to ensure project review, oversight, and mitigation plans are in accordance with enterprise standards.
4. Oversee the preparation of project materials and artifacts ensuring project documentation has the appropriate level of traceability.
5. Contribute to short and long-term project prioritization and planning for assigned portfolio and ensuring coordination of planning of initiatives in other areas.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with key leaders to ensure coordination, support and buy-in of delivery plans within the assigned portfolio
7. Provides portfolio level dashboards and executive summaries to keep leaders abreast of the health of the line of business portfolio
8. Attract, retain, and develop top talent, providing a cohesive, inclusive, team-oriented culture aligned with the Truist purpose, mission, and values

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. 10-12 years of experience in consulting, project management or process improvement related role.
3. Advanced understanding of project management framework and demonstrated ability to implement large scale initiatives and ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments.
4. Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies
5. Advanced understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma)
6. Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
7. Sound working knowledge of holistic banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance and systems
8. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence others and facilitate difficult conversations with leadership
10. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, devise solutions and make decisions under pressure.
11. Ability and willingness to learn and adapt as the needs of the job change
12. Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
13. Ability to travel as needed, occasionally overnight

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree in a relevant field of work (e.g., MBA)
2. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
3. Process Improvement Professional (e.g. Six Sigma certification)

In addition:

  • Prior Truist CSBB and/or DCXM experience, with familiarity across related platforms, processes, and stakeholders
  • Management/Supervisory experience strongly preferred with proven demonstrated performance in leading teams to success.
  • Significant experience across Client Experience (CX), Marketing, and Digital domains, including Online Banking (OLB), mobile platforms, and endtoend customer experience initiatives
  • Prior PMO, Portfolio or Change Management leadership experience
  • Prior consulting experience, with demonstrated ability to assess complex situations, provide strategic guidance, and deliver actionable solutions
  • Proven corporate utility player with the ability to operate effectively across functions, teams, and lines of business
  • Experience leading crossLOB or enterprisewide initiatives, managing complexity and competing stakeholder priorities
  • Strong relationship management experience, including regular engagement with executive leadership, peers, and direct reporting teams
  • Widely recognized as a relationship builder with a consistent track record of trust, influence, and collaboration
  • Demonstrated executive presence, including confident communication, sound judgment, and the ability to influence decisionmaking at senior levels
  • Highquality content creation capabilities, with the ability to scale messaging and materials from tactical execution to strategic executivelevel insights
