Job description

Growth and Delivery Manager (Full-time)

United States

This role requires 100% weekly travel to client sites and onsite work at client locations.

Previous Consulting Experience Required

Why Join Proudfoot?

Proudfoot is a global management consulting firm with a singular focus: delivering operational performance improvement that endures. Our teams operate inside client organizations, working shoulder to shoulder with the people responsible for results. Our proven methodology, The Proudfoot System (TPS), provides the structure and discipline to convert complex operational challenges into quantifiable gains.

The Growth & Delivery Manager is a senior leadership position carrying full accountability for engagement outcomes, client value delivery, and account growth. This is a role for someone who takes ownership of results and the development of the people around them.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Delivery & Results Accountability

  • Own the delivery of agreed business outcomes across the engagement lifecycle, from mobilization through close-out
  • Operate directly within client environments - on the floor, in the control room, at the planning table - to identify performance gaps and drive targeted improvement
  • Apply The Proudfoot System to structure the engagement, maintain methodological rigor, and ensure consistent execution against plan
  • Monitor performance against targets, conduct formal audits, and take decisive corrective action when results are at risk
  • Manage the engagement budget and project P&L, ensuring financial discipline within agreed commercial parameters

Solution Development & Sustainability

  • Develop solutions in partnership with client teams, ensuring that knowledge, ownership, and operating capability transfer progressively throughout the engagement
  • Design and deliver structured workshops, coaching programs, and training that build the client's capacity to operate independently
  • Ground every intervention in the client's operational reality so that improvements hold beyond Proudfoot's involvement

Client Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Engage with senior client leaders to define the highest-value problems, align organizational priorities, and maintain momentum through governance and steering forums
  • Establish trust through consistent delivery, transparency, and an unwavering focus on the client's business objectives
  • Represent Proudfoot with credibility at all levels of the client organization

Account Growth & Commercial Impact

  • Grow the client relationship by demonstrating measurable bottom-line impact and identifying where additional Proudfoot capability can extend that value
  • Contribute to proposal development, scope definition, and commercial negotiations as the engagement evolves
  • Support broader market growth in alignment with regional and European strategic priorities

People Leadership & Development

  • Take direct accountability for the professional development of the Proudfoot consultants on your team - their growth is a core measure of your effectiveness in this role
  • Invest equally in building client team capability, equipping individuals to lead improvements with confidence
  • Provide clear, honest, and constructive feedback that raises the standard for both Proudfoot and client personnel
  • Set and uphold the benchmark for how Proudfoot operates - disciplined, embedded, and accountable

Day-to-Day Life

No two days are the same. You will move between shop floors, operational environments, and executive boardrooms - frequently within the same week. Travel and operational variety are inherent to the role. Reporting to the VP Growth & Delivery, you will balance hands-on operational involvement with stakeholder management, team development, and the commercial thinking required to expand the account.

Skills & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering
  • Master's degree in Management or Business is highly desirable

Industry Experience

  • Significant experience within mining, natural resources, industrial manufacturing, or energy sectors
  • Backgrounds may include operations, maintenance, supply chain, internal OPEX, transformation programs, financial control, environmental change, renewables, or behavioral change / industrial psychology

Consulting & Methodologies

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering business performance improvement with quantifiable, sustained results
  • Experience leading, managing, and developing teams in operational or project environments
  • Working knowledge of methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or business process reengineering

Commercial & Financial Acumen

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, including P&L, balance sheets, and cost management
  • Proven ability to engage in commercial discussions and contribute to account strategy

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI
  • Data analytics capability and comfort working with operational performance data

Digital & AI Capability

  • Practical experience using AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Claude, or similar) to enhance productivity, analysis, or delivery quality

Languages

  • Business-level fluency in English is essential
  • French or Spanish language skills are a strong advantage

Personal Attributes

  • Commanding leadership presence with the ability to influence and align senior stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication skills, professional resilience, and sustained energy
  • Ability to operate effectively under ambiguity, time pressure, and complex organizational dynamics
  • Comfortable being held accountable for outcomes, not activity
  • Strong commitment to personal development and to upholding the Proudfoot brand
