CT Technician Pathway Sponsorship Application

This position is part of the Talent Pathway Sponsorship Program. To qualify, you'll need to be accepted into the CT Tech Certification program with Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
    • Experience:
      • Minimum of Student Training.
    • Education and Training:
      • Must have completed formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program.
    • License, Certification & Registration:
      • MALIC – Massachusetts Radiology License
      • ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography
      • CPR – CPR
    • Other Requirements:
      • Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment.
      • Ability to take initiative
      • Good written and oral communication skills
