Rutgers University - Newark, an urban public research anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking aSr. Program Coordinator under the direction of the Senior Director of Development, this position independently manages development, alumni engagement, and alumni communications programs for Rutgers Law School. Responsibilities include planning events for alumni reunions and major programs, overseeing and co-managing alumni marketing and communication strategies, co-implementing and co-maintaining the RLaw Connect (Hivebrite) platform, and administering alumni and donor data systems, including Salesforce, Tableau, and Cvent.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
  • Research, retrieve, and analyze data on donor giving and engagement using the RU Foundation's software: Salesforce (AQ) and Tableau.
  • In conjunction with the Assistant Director, Alumni Engagement, prepare marketing materials; manage vendor hiring; provide customer service; manage the Foundation response vehicle interface; handle registration; manage logistics; and handle post-event communications for at least six annual class reunions and other alumni receptions.
  • Assist the Associate Dean in various administrative duties, including supervising mailings, transmitting gift checks, processing procurement, and ordering supplies.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge, skill, and understanding of volunteer management, alumni/ public relations, and event execution.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in promotions/event planning, fundraising, sales, marketing, or work in a law office is required. Good communication, persuasion, and diplomatic skills.
