Are you passionate about helping individuals with intellectual /developmental disabilities live their best lives in the community? Inspired Options is a humanservices agency making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults withautism and other intellectual / developmental disabilities in Maryland.
FLSA Status: Exempt
Hours: Full-Time, reports to theDirector of Programs
Reporting to this position:
The Program Manager is responsible for the supervision of up to8 licensed residential units (housing up to 16 adults with intellectual /developmental disabilities), house managers, and direct support professionalswho work with the individuals in the supported caseload.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
Program Managers will oversee the coordination and management ofDirect Support Professionals and day services for individual with intellectualdisabilities. The primary mission of the Program Manager is to oversee andensure the quality and comprehensiveness of services for the individuals weserve. This requires that the Program Manager knows the individual andunderstands his/her needs, strengths, and preferences. The Program Managerunderstand the "big picture" of all Inspired Options needs to do tofulfill its obligations, works with Inspired Options staff and individuals tocarry out the agency's responsibilities. The Program Manager collaborates witharea agencies, state agencies, family members, guardians, medical and mentalhealth providers, and others in the community to make sure individuals aresafe, their particular needs are met, and their lives are as rich andfulfilling as possible.
Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain strong, respectful relationships with the individuals in supported caseload.
  • Ensure that the health and safety needs of individuals who receive services are met consistent with COMAR, Centers for Medicaid Services, Maryland Board of Nursing regulation, accreditation standards, and Inspired Options policies and procedures.
  • Understand the various roles of Inspired Options staff and works collaboratively.
  • Demonstrate excellent planning skills and have reliable follow through skills.
  • Respond to incidents in a timely manner.
  • Attend and monitor agencyรขโ‚ฌ's participation in annual Person Centered Plan meetings.
  • Work closely with the Recruiter to schedule, interview, and hire new staff.
  • Ensure that staff are scheduled for shifts, and that staff are using Inspired Optionsรขโ‚ฌโ„ข time management system.
  • Ensure that appropriate documentation is completed as scheduled in the agencyรขโ‚ฌ's record keeping systems, including electronic record system
  • Conduct unannounced visits to homes in supported caseload.
  • Be on-call 24/7 for assigned homes.
  • Other administrative tasks and duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Experience
  • Associates Degree preferred, plus two years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities and one year of supervisory experience.
  • Must have a valid driverรขโ‚ฌ's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agencyรขโ‚ฌ's insurance carrier and Agency policy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer skills
