Job description

What you'll be doing: 

The Program Coordinator (PC I, PC II, PC III) is responsible for the direct care of inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization patients by providing patient supervision and support. The PCs provide structure and boundaries for our patients. They provide bathroom and milieu support as well as contribute to the implementation of therapeutic programming which may include care delivery and program documentation. The PCs provide mealtime support, supporting patients with their dietary needs, and supervising patients at meals and snacks.  

The PC should be able to:  

  • Be willing and able to work at all ERC Pathlight local sites as assigned 
  • Be compliant with certification and regulatory requirements for each practice location 
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to meet organizational staffing needs 
  • Be available to work weekends and holidays as required 
  • Be available to work on-call shifts based on business needs, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local labor laws 

Essential duties and responsibilities: 

  • Milieu Management, including (but not limited to) the following: 
  • Maintains daily program structure by following program schedule 
  • Completes observation rounds and safety checks as ordered by physician 
  • Works with patients on de-escalation and implementing coping skills per treatment plan 
  • Conducts room searches and luggage searches 
  • Takes patients out on fresh air breaks and mindful movement exposures 
  • Provides ongoing bathroom monitoring 
  • Take patient vital signs, weights, urine Specific Gravity (may vary by location and program)  
  • Group Facilitation 
  • Participates in group facilitation 
  • Compliant with documentation in EHR for group facilitation 
  • Supports group outings 
  • Meal Support, including (but not limited to) the following: 
  • Participates in all meals and snacks with patients as needed per facility 
  • Provides meal support through coaching and skills per treatment team at eating disorder treatment locations (when not assigned to an eating disorder treatment location, performs other duties as assigned based on program and operational needs) 
  • Provides administrative support as needed around mealtimes 
  • Ensures adherence to allergy-safety system 
  • Administrative Support 
  • Complete all appropriate documentation as needed in compliance with standards (some indicated above) including but not limited to patient observations, meals, and events that occur during shift 
  • Provides patient transportation as needed for medical appointments (may vary by location and program) 
  • Supports additional transportation needs, including but not limited to outings, grocery shopping, or other facility needs 
  • May provide support for additional food procurement as needed once per week 
  • Distributes mail and packages daily 

Must haves: 

Program Coordinator I (PC I) 

  • High School Diploma or GED (required) 
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record: required only at locations operating company vehicles or requiring driving on behalf of the company (required)  
  • Washington teammates must hold a state credential (may be pending at time of hire) (required) 
  • ServSafe certification may be required depending on state and local licensing regulations (required) 
  • Mental Health/Psych Tech or CNA certification (preferred) 

Program Coordinator II (PC II) 

  • High School Diploma or GED(required) 
  • Minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience (required) 
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record: requiredonly at locations operating company vehicles or requiring driving on behalf of the company(required) 
  • Washington teammates must hold a state credential (may bepending at time of hire)(required) 
  • ServSafecertification may be required depending on state and local licensing regulations (required) 

Program Coordinator III (PC III) 

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral healthor related field (required) 
  • Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a behavioral health or related field(required) 
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record: requiredonly at locations operating company vehicles or requiring driving on behalf of the company (required) 
  • Washington teammates must hold a state credential (may bepending at time of hire) (required) 
  • ServSafecertification may be required depending on state and local licensing regulations (required)
