Job Summary
Department of Neurology:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a full-time program coordinator of the Alzheimer Therapeutics Program (ATP). The ATP has been developed to deliver disease-modifying therapy (DMT) for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
The Program Coordinator will work closely with the medical director and members of the ATP committee to facilitate optimal care for patients being assessed for and/or receiving DMTs for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease at BWH.
The Program Coordinator will have the opportunity to participate in the academic activities of our Center, which is an interdisciplinary group that includes cognitive neurologists, neuropsychiatrists, geriatric psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, post-doctoral students, basic scientists, translational researchers, and research assistants.
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating program activities and providing administrative support, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with organizational goals. Facilitates communication across departments, monitors program timelines, and supports project implementation to enhance program effectiveness. Contributes to reporting and data analysis to assess program impact and support strategic improvements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of administrative or program support experiencer is required.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Basic financial/accounting skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Additional Job Details (if applicable)
Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinating (scheduling) patient assessments, treatments, surveillance monitoring, and clinical follow-ups.
  • Reviewing procedural checklists that have been developed to establish patient eligibility for therapy.
  • Tracking and managing treatment-related and monitoring-related schedules for patients.
  • Helping to ensure patients receive their infusions, surveillance scans, clinical visits, etc., as scheduled.
  • Communicating relevant information with patients, care partners, ATP clinicians, neuroradiologists, and infusion nurses.
  • Completing cognitive testing, administering questionnaires, and facilitating the collection of other outcome measures, including fluid (e.g., blood) specimens.
  • Coordinating data collection for the Alzheimer Patient Registry, including ALZ-NET and other Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) - approved registries. Organizing and maintaining the databases in REDCap.
  • Assisting patients and care partners navigate the treatment program.
  • The program coordinator will have the opportunity to participate in research opportunities including presentations at national or international conferences and manuscripts.
  • All other duties as assigned.
