Lifesteps is hiring a Day Program Aide to work at the Adult Training Facility in Beaver, PA.

The Agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential. Day Program Aides - Part-time - Monday through Friday

NO EVENINGS, WEEKENDS OR HOLIDAYS!

POSITION SUMMARY:

Have fun while you work and bring joy into the lives of program participants! The Disability Services Day Program Aide is responsible for assisting special needs adults with activities such as basic life skills, community participation, transportation, vocational skills, crafts and fun activities.

Staff observe and report on the accomplishments of the adult participants, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
  • Obtain and maintain certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) - provided by Lifesteps
  • First aid and CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain within six (6) months - provided by Lifesteps

Preferred:

  • One year experience working with individuals with disabilities in the human services field, like direct care, home health aide, personal care attendant, TSS, etc.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, Recreational Therapy, Health Education, Nutrition, or any other major
