Job description

Job Summary: Under indirect supervision performs all duties associated with acquisition, processing, submission for interpretation of MRI images. MRI technologists need to be skilled and detail-oriented to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
Days: Various days between Monday - Friday Hours: Varies depending on staffing
Major Job Functions:
  1. Operate all MRI equipment for the productions of diagnostic imaging.
  2. Film, archive and retrieve studies as needed
  3. Prepare patient for procedure, including explanation of procedure, interviewing of patients, etc.
  4. Monitor Image quality
  5. Report all problems, artifacts, etc. to MRI Manager
  6. Work dependently and independently of others as the need requires
  7. Use good judgment in all areas of work performed
  8. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  9. Maintain professional relations with patients, visitors and staff
  10. Perform other miscellaneous duties as requested.
Specifications:
  1. Education: Completion of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program, associate’s degree required
  2. Experience: Magnetic resonance imaging strongly recommended.
  3. Certification/License/Registration: Registered or Registry eligible through the ARRT. State Licensure or certification is required. ACLS and BLS/CPR certification required. Maintains Continuing Education Credits required.
