Job description

We're seeking someone to join the Program Governance and Execution team within the U.S. Banks Non-Financial Risk (NFR), to provide support across governance, oversight, and NFR program execution.
In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is an Associate level position within the U.S. Banks NFR Program Governance and Execution team, which is responsible for governance, oversight, and execution of core NFR programs and projects.

What you'll do in the role:
> Support the execution of key U.S. Banks' programs, including tolerance measurement scorecards, metrics reporting, and concentration risk
> Prepare and coordinate the development and ongoing monitoring of the Annual Operational Risk and Compliance plans
> Partner with stakeholders to evaluate effectiveness and relevance of metrics and other non-financial risk programs, identify opportunities for rationalization, and improve governance reporting processes
> Coordinate governance activities across risk committees, working groups, and other forums, including preparation and coordination of materials and reporting
> Coordinate and support ad hoc requests, conducting analysis and special projects related to Non-Financial Risk governance ensuring timely delivery of materials, reporting, and management information
> Support transformation efforts impacting Non-Financial Risk governance and oversight
> Serve as relationship manager with Non-Financial Risk stakeholders and Enterprise Risk teams
> Facilitate cross-functional discussions to address Non-Financial Risk priorities, regulatory commitments, and other activities
> Identify and deliver practical enhancements leveraging AI prompts, Copilot-enabled solutions, workflow automation, AI agents, and knowledge management tools
> Drive the implementation of intelligent AI agents to streamline manual processes, improve workflow efficiency, and enhance risk management effectiveness
What you'll bring to the role:
> Bachelor's degree, ideally in Finance or Risk Management, or a related field
> Understanding of banking regulations, particularly related to Non-Financial Risk
> At least 3-5 years of work experience in risk management or related fields
> Advanced Office Suite proficiency, such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.
> Hands-on experience with GPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, workflow automation tools, AI agents
> Self-motivated and result-oriented
> Confidence to take ideas forward and to challenge others, where appropriate
> Strategic thinking and innovation; risk mindset with technology acumen
> Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize; ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines; ability to understand the team's strategic objectives and decision making for execution
> Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to produce concise and effective presentations
Please note that the location listed for this role is temporary. The position's work location will transition to 1445 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75202 at a future date. In-Person interviews will be required for the role.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
