Job description

Breathe life into your career with vital respiratory care.

Block scheduling 6 on and 8 off.

Join Our Team at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center

At Cuyuna Regional Medical Center (CRMC), we're more than just a healthcare organization - we're a community dedicated to making a meaningful impact. For more than 60 years, we've been providing compassionate, high-quality care in the Greater Brainerd Lakes Area and beyond. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and putting people first - both our patients and our employees. Whether you're on the front lines of patient care or supporting operations behind the scenes, you'll find a culture of collaboration, growth, and respect. If you're looking for a career where your work truly matters, we invite you to join us at CRMC and be part of something bigger.

A Day in the Life of a Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory Therapists at our facility assess and treat a wide range of respiratory conditions, tailoring care to each patient's specific needs from newborns to the elderly. Using the latest medical technologies, they administer therapies such as oxygen, medications, and ventilatory support, adhering to strict safety and hospital protocols. Collaboration is key; therapists work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and nurses, to integrate and optimize patient care plans. They are adept at functioning autonomously in high-pressure environments, making critical decisions quickly and accurately. Routine responsibilities include thorough documentation of treatments and outcomes, participating in clinical rounds, and engaging in ongoing education and support for patients and their families.

About the Respiratory Therapy Department Because Every Breath Counts

At Cuyuna Regional Medical Center's Respiratory Therapy Department, we are dedicated to helping patients breathe easier, recover more quickly, and manage chronic lung conditions with exceptional care. Whether providing emergency airway management or long-term treatment for conditions like COPD, asthma, and other respiratory disorders, our team offers life-saving support in both critical and routine care environments. Our unique approach at CRMC includes therapist-driven protocols, cardiac monitoring (such as Holters and event monitors), and EEGs, setting us apart from other respiratory therapy programs. Our specialists are highly trained in ventilator management, advanced airway procedures, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary diagnostics—ensuring timely and accurate interventions to optimize patient care. If you're ready to become an expert that both patients and clinical staff can depend on, join our Respiratory Therapy team at CRMC. Together, we make every breath count.
