Job Title

Summer Intern Program 2027

Job Description Summary

Who We Are
Never settle for the world that's been built, but relentlessly drive it forward.
At Cushman & Wakefield we outthink and outdo the challenges of the built environment for the benefit of our clients, our colleagues, and our communities. We employ the most talented professionals in the industry and invest in the resources and technology that let them deliver innovative advice and real, measurable results.
We're a global leader in commercial real estate services, helping clients transform the way people work, shop, and live. Our 52,000 employees across more than 70 countries bring deep local knowledge and global perspective to occupiers and investors around the world.

Job Description

This is not a shadowing program. You'll join a service line team as a working member of it - contributing to live assignments, sitting in on client conversations, and owning real deliverables from your first weeks.

Along the way you'll build genuine fluency in commercial real estate: how deals get done, how properties are valued and financed, how markets move, and how the industry's terminology, processes, and regulations actually work in practice. You'll leave with experience worth bringing back to your campus, your classmates, and your organizations.
You'll also take part in a firmwide program series built around executive speakers, service line deep dives, professional development workshops, networking events, and a capstone project presented to senior leadership.
Where You Could Land
We hire interns across a range of teams and locations. Below are some of the opportunities available across our business.
Brokerage - Tenant Representation, Agency Leasing, Industrial, Retail - Build market surveys and tour books, track availabilities and lease comparables, prepare pitch and proposal materials, and join client meetings and property tours.
Capital Markets - Investment Sales, Equity Debt & Structured Finance, Support underwriting and cash flow analysis, help assemble offering memoranda and investor materials, and track buyer activity, lender appetite, and sales comparables.
Valuation & Advisory - Gather property and market data, analyze comparable sales and leases, build and audit cash flow models, and help draft narrative appraisal reports.
Research & Insights - Maintain market statistics on supply, demand, absorption, rents, and construction pipeline; support quarterly market reports and thought leadership; build the charts, maps, and visualizations that bring the data to life.
Accounting & Client Accounting Services - Assist with journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end close; help prepare owner and client reporting packages; support budget and variance analysis.
Internal Audit - Support control testing and process walkthroughs, document business processes, assist with risk assessment and fieldwork, and help prepare findings and workpapers.
Marketing & Communications - Develop marketing collateral and property materials, support digital and social campaigns, contribute to proposals and pitch decks, and help bring client events to life.
Depending on the market, openings may also be available in Property Management, Project & Development Services, Facilities Management, Human Resources, Finance, and Technology.

What You'll Do

Work varies by team, but across every area you can expect to:

  • Research, gather, and analyze data that shapes client advice and internal decisions
  • Support the team in delivering on daily client commitments
  • Handle day-to-day requests, providing accurate information and escalating issues appropriately
  • Work within established systems and processes to meet quality and turnaround standards
  • Track project timelines and coordinate across internal stakeholders
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting, including monthly packages
  • Review, reconcile, and help resolve client and account issues
  • Take on special projects supporting department objectives
  • Grow your expertise through on-the-job training, shadowing, and structured program sessions

What We're Looking For

You'll need:

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program, with at least two years completed by the program start date
  • A minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. - visa sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A track record of delivering excellent client or customer service
  • Self-direction - you're reliable, resourceful, and you get things done
  • Comfort managing multiple projects at once without losing the details
  • The ability to work independently and to contribute as part of a team

Nice to have:

  • Coursework or demonstrated interest in real estate, finance, accounting, economics, marketing, business analytics, or a related field
  • Exposure to tools like Excel financial modeling, ARGUS, CoStar, Power BI, Adobe Creative Suite, or Salesforce
  • Prior internship experience, campus leadership, or student organization involvement
