Job Summary
The CCI Intern is responsible for providing supplemental administrative support to the BWH Center for Clinical Investigation (CCI). The Intern is responsible for working with the Administrative Director and CCI Managers across the various operational, educational and financial activities within the CCI. This position will report directly to the Operations Manager.
The intern will spend time providing assistance with general research administration and business and operational management of the CCI.
The intern will spend time working specifically with the:
• Administrative and Operations Teams: Perform general administrative tasks to support day to day operations of the CCI, including; running data reports, analyzing data, supporting scheduling and front desk activities, taking notes in meetings, responding to research team inquiries, filing documents and other tasks as requested.
• Financial Support: Running census and financial reports and performing data entry in support of monthly financial reporting.
Qualifications
1. Operations Management
a. Assist with document and data management for the Protocol Approval Process.
b. Assist with data collection and analysis to accurately collect, track, and report information relating to patient census information and resource usage in support of business analysis.
c. Serve as a project assistant as needed.
d. Support front desk activities as needed.
e. Support scheduling template creation as needed.
2. Financial Management
a. Assist the Operations Coordinator and the Finance team with monthly administrative tasks such as generating invoices, drafting journal entries, and filing purchase orders.
b. Assist with Payroll data entry.
c. Assist in the organization and data management of purchasing and payroll records.
d. Assist in financial and business reporting as requested.
3. Marketing
a. Update information on the website
b. Assist with meetings/conferences, seminars, and other CCI sponsored programs or events.
c. Assist with participant registration, evaluations and data entry.
d. Provide staff coverage during courses.
e. Assist with preparation and distribution of educational materials.
f. Support development of education and marketing content as required.
4. Other Administrative Responsibilities
a. As requested, attend meetings and assist with agendas, minutes and other related activities for the CCI.
b. Undertake special projects assigned.
c. Perform other duties as assigned.
