10 month Position (September-June)
Part Time - Hourly Wage
Effective: September 1, 2026
 
The Hanover Township Public Schools is seeking dynamic, dependable, and enthusiastic Program Aides to assist in the day-to-day operations of the After School Kids program. This role focuses on supervising children and supporting their social and emotional well being by engaging with them in games and activities.
 
Qualifications:













  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Experience working with school-age children, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and coworkers.
  • Ability to supervise children in an active and structured environment.
  • Demonstrates reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.


 
Key Responsibilities:






  • Ensure the safety and supervision of children by maintaining active supervision, conducting headcounts, and following all safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Assist with activities being led and encourage participation within the group.
  • Engage with children in an appropriate manner during activities and games.
  • Support positive behavior management by using appropriate discipline and conflict resolution strategies, modeling positive behavior, and reporting concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow program policies and procedures while carrying out assigned responsibilities and contributing to a safe, organized, and high-quality program environment.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and reliability through consistent attendance, flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to supporting overall program success.
