The Certified Nursing Assistant assists Physicians and Nurses to meet the health care needs of patients.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT SCHEDULE

  • Full-Time

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Certified by professional organization in the state.
  • Subject to initial and ongoing security clearance requirements.
  • Acute care experience preferred.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Takes vital signs, height and weight.
  • Assists with PPDs and EKGs.
  • Draws blood.
  • Measures and records intake and output.
  • Assists with patient treatments such as dressing changes, decubitus ulcer, and tracheostomy care.
  • Adheres to Universal Precaution procedures and established Infection Control procedures.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
  • Is proficient with CPR and recognizes need to implement. Receive re-certification training annually.
  • Assists in cleaning, sterilizing and securing of equipment.
  • Follows security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
