Job description

Administrative Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON (onsite, TTC accessible)


Our client is looking for a mature, experienced Administrative Assistant to work in their busy, fast paced environment on an urgent basis. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the COO and various others supporting with various tasks from calendaring to back up reception and more. Please note this is an interim temporary opportunity that starts immediately for 6 months with potential to extend or more. Pay rate range of $25-28/hr plus vacation pay, paid weekly.


Some of the responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON may include but are not limited to:

  • Organize meeting including the various logistics such as ordering caterings, setting up, tearing down
  • Report and document creation utilizing MS Office programs
  • Database updating and documenting; filling and other related tasks
  • Provide phone support; liaise with internal teams, vendors and clients in a professional presentation
  • Be the back-up for the front-desk receptionist on breaks/lunch
  • Be able to change priorities quickly and take initiative while being a full team player to support and work with other departments/staff
  • Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned


To be considered for the Administrative Assistant job opening in Toronto, ON, the selected incumbent will meet the following minimum criteria:

  • At least 3 years of direct Administrative Assistant/Executive Assistant experience; preference to those who have supported Executives in the past
  • Heavy calendaring experience, travel arrangements
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • High level organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexible, team player with a can-do attitude; no job too big or small
  • Strong prioritization, takes initiative, ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple demands while being able to adjust to changing priorities
  • Attentive decision making and problem-solving skills
