About The Role

The Commercial Lines Large Account Manager will havea primaryresponsibility for policy maintenance and service of an assignedportionof accounts. Maintaina high levelof client retention by managing the day-to-day service needs of our clients and constantlyworktoward strong client relationships. Market and service accountsin accordance withthe platformobjectivesand procedures. Contribute to the profitable growth of the platform by achieving retention and renewal goals, proactiveaccount rounding, up-selling of limits/coveragesand by providing extraordinary client service.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish andmaintainsa strong relationship andassiststhe client advisors in making decisions on account updates and coverage for accounts ranging from mid-size to large accounts with moderate complexities.

  • Collaborate with the client advisor to review exposures and insurance programs for assigned clients,determineif carrier is the best fit for the client while considering coverage, protection, and cost.

  • Collaborate with client advisors to market, quote, and prepare the proposal for the client from botha riskmanagement and insurance prospective to decide upon the "best" way to manage the customer's risk.

  • Provide day-to-day service,anticipatecustomer's needs, and respond to client issues/questionsin a timely manner.

  • Handles initial report of claims andfollowingup to ensure that the claim is properly progressing, andcustomer'sneeds arebeing met.

  • Monitor carrier activities to make sure that they are fulfilling their responsibilities to the customer (policy endorsements, claims, etc.).

  • Complete account reviews.

  • Attempt to round-out each customer's insurance portfolio including, the solicitation ofadditionalcommercial and personallinesinsurance where applicable andmaintaincustomer recordsin accordance withprocedures.

  • Keeps customers up to date on "pending changes" in the insurance world that mayimpacttheir insurance coverage.

  • Assistsor completes other tasks as directed by platform management.

  • Providetimely, professional,accuratecommunication to client, team, and carrier representatives.

  • Keep andmaintainconfidentiality of client records and communication.

  • Seeks referrals from clients and follows through to help generate new business.

  • Refers current and prospective clients toBenefitsDepartment and Personal Insurance for solicitation of those lines of business.

  • Coach and mentor junior members of the commerciallines,may leadteammeetings and initiatives.

  • Comply withagency standards, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills including correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation in correspondence.

  • Must havea high levelof understanding accounting or strong math skills.

  • High degree of critical thinking; ability toproblem solvewhen the answer is not readilyapparent.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, producing outcomes with minimal errors.

  • Knowledge of Agency Management Systems; Applied Epica plus.

  • Able to function independently and as part of a team.

  • Complies withcontinuing education requirements for agent licensing as well as professional designations.

  • Keeps informedregardingindustry information, new production information, coverages, and technology to continually improve knowledge and stay current.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree'sdegree and/or 5+ years commercial insurance experience or recognized equivalent isrequired.

  • Hold andmaintainappropriate stateProperty and Casualty Insurance License for South Carolina.

  • Initiate, obtain, andmaintain(CISR elite, CIC, or other advanced designations).
