Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing key customer relationships in the Aerospace and Defense Market, acting as the primary point of contact between the company and the client to ensure customer satisfaction and successful program management. This role requires a technical background and a strong desire to serve the customer, with responsibilities spanning from managing the quotation process for new parts to supporting and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customer requests.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of customer business and market trends.
  • Manage the quotation process for new parts.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure timely and successful launch of new customer projects.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams to maintain long-term profitability, address customer concerns, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize the CRM database to maintain accurate contact, account, opportunity, and complaint records.
  • Use the ERP system to enter, manage, and track customer orders.
  • Conduct periodic virtual or in-person meetings to determine requirements of new opportunities and provide status updates.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual sales forecasts to support company profit planning.
  • Support and contribute to organizational and customer-focused continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry trends through attendance at vendor meetings and industry trade shows.
